The new GUI looks great.

I was just a bit disappointed that some of the bugs which have been
reported for a long time in the bug tracking system are still there
(e.g. QIF export of investment accounts). The new budget system seems
to be buggy too - at least the budget reporting is showing some
problems (e.g. income is shown as negative value but income budget is
shown as positive value, hence the calculated difference is wrong ->
e.g. budget = 100$ current value = -100!!!! -> difference = 200
$ !!!!!! where it should be 0$) I have reported this to the bug
tracking system already.
I also noticed that when I open an existing MD file with a budget and
I try to edit the budget, then the starting date is always set to
1.1.1970.

OK, I know it is the 1st beta, however I like MD since it has many
advantages over other programs for the Mac platform. What I don't
like is that investments can't be managed from within MD (e.g.
reporting, profit calculations ......) since the existing tools are
not sophisticated enough. Hence, one has to export the investment
data and to do the analyzes using external tools -> stuck!!!

One last thing. I would expect that when I export ALL data (QIF
export) and then import it back into an empty file, to get EXACTLY
the same accounts and values per account. Unfortunately this is not
the case with MD (2006 & 2007) - Just try it. Am I doing something
wrong? Can somebody on this list verify this behavior of MD?

Best regards from Germany

Vitor
