I agree completely with Tjalco. Earlier this year I moved from the US to
the UK and wrote a script to duplicate all of my existing categories in GBP
and then move the old USD categories under a top level account ("US"). It
works great, and the few USD expenses I have now just get categorized as
US:Food:Dining or something similar.
I can try to dig up the script or quickly whip up a new one if you like.
