[moneydance] Can't add security

Using V 531 on Mac OS 10.3
All of a sudden I can¹t add a new security in the pull down menu of the
³Register². I can add it to the list of securities in Tools/Edit Securities
and it gets there from a down load from Broker Account, but I can not get
into the register.
