It's probably true that they haven't heard of MD. I don't know how 
reluctant accountants are to learn a new program, but obviously any 
accountant over the age of 40 and using QB has done so before. Unwilling to 
purchase? Gimme a break; an accountant would be pleased as punch at the 
cost of MD.

The issue for the user, and Richard McIntyre pointed out, is that MD just 
doesn't do a number of standard business-related things. I am a 
self-employed consultant with just about the simplest conceivable business 
finances, and I only just barely stretch MD to handle it (as I previously 
just barely stretched Quicken to handled it). I imagine that MD could be 
extended to handle these things; whether it would be worth the development 
cost is another matter.
