I would imagine it differs for the operating system in use.  In Linux 
it is easy, just use two directories.  No installing nonsense like 
like I believe you have to put up with in Windows.

I don't think there is any reason not to use the existing data file 
and however Windows sets up the configuration.  The only thing that I 
believe is the major change is the .jar file.  I suspect you  could 
even rename the 412.jar and copy the new one into the same directory. 
I doubt you will go back to 412
