Moneydance® Extensions
Moneydance contains support for dynamically loadable extensions.
These extensions have the ability to add new features or services
to the program at run-time.
Each extension is completely self-contained in a single MXT file.
Moneydance can add extensions from MXT files stored at moneydance.com through
a simple user interface or directly from a file on the users computer.
Every extension includes a digital signature that is verified each time the extension is loaded.
Every extension must be audited and signed by The Infinite Kind before users will be able
to load it into Moneydance. Extensions with invalid or missing signatures will generate an
error and will not be loaded unless the user forces the extension to load.
Currently available extensions include:
| Moneydance Updater |
When loaded, this extension will check for new versions of Moneydance. If a new version is available,
it will provide the option of automatically upgrading to the latest version |
| Text File Importer |
This extension provides a flexible mechanism for importing data from text files. |
| Python Interpreter |
This is an interface to Moneydance that lets you run Python
scripts within Moneydance. With this extension you can write small programs that access your
data and perform customized functions. This allows anyone with a little programming knowledge
to extend Moneydance in just about any way imaginable! |
