Eric: Unfortunately we can’t get too specific in the Moneydance application’s “version” field because the auto-updates are done internally (ie they don’t change the application itself, only some of the code in it). The best way to get the detailed version information is to run Moneydance and then select the “about” menu.

(On Macintosh) It would be nice if the version/build number displayed in the file’s info dialog. So yours might look like “Moneydance 2008 (602)” or “Moneydance 2008 b602″ or “Moneydance 2008 v1.0.602″ or, or, or….

A further note, I’ve been looking for the build 600 mods with respect to bug 908, but can’t find a spec detailing if it’s done or not…any ideas anyone?

I’ve just started using Moneydance last week. It’s been awesome apart from the loans section which doesn’t allow you to add transactions for fees, overdue notices etc. so am hanging out for Moneydance 2008. Top work guys!

Al,
The button to bring up the entry for a split is at the top of the Category window when you click on the up-down arrows in the Category column.

Chris, just a suggestion (and I am only a Mondeydance user like yourself) – you might want to submit this as a ticket rather than a comment on the blog. Perhaps it’s easier to get a response that way. Not sure, but thought I’d throw it out there.

I really really want to use Moneydance, but do not see support for Edward Jones online. Edward Jones works online with Money, Quicken, and I even tried iBank the other day and it worked with them too. I see that there is a way to set it up manually, but don’t know any of the information needed to make it work, and when I called Edward Jones they of course stated that it isn’t supported.

I also need employee stock option support to make the switch. I’ve written more than one time and haven’t received a reply.
