Where can I buy check stock that has all of the stuff on it that MD does not print (check number, account number, etc.)? I have a Dell Photo AIO printer 924.
Call me old fashion, but the first reason I started considering buying MD, rather than upgrading my MS Money is because I don’t want to be forced to use on-line banking to pay my bills. I just plain don’t trust it, and I don’t trust any financial application that tries to use my internet connection without asking me first. Descriptions of the latest Money version seem to indicate you can’t print checks anymore, and that it likes to periodically call the big brother ship for some unknown reason.
Anyway, I want to stop writing checks and print them instead. I hope you will continue to provide this functionality.
One suggestion, when checks fail to print, maybe you could provide an option to place void transactions in the register for those check numbers, so they don’t show up as missing checks. I kind of like to keep track of my void checks, in case they mysteriously show up later.

We will continue to include check printing. You can purchase check stock that works with Moneydance from bestchecks.com - just about any of their formats will work with Moneydance, not just the three-to-a-page format. Thanks for the suggestion for voided checks - we will try to add that if we get a chance.
Cheers!

One of the confusing things about the Moneydance 2006 that I tried out earlier was scheduling and online banking. I could manually send a payment with online banking, but that wouldn’t be updated on my upcoming transactions.
Similarly, I couldn’t see an intuitive way to send a payment online FROM my list of upcoming scheduled transactions.
This, coupled with the problem that I had to reenter every institution’s password every time for every money download, with no way to automate downloads, weighed heavily on my not going with MoneyDance. Have these issues been fixed or bettered in MoneyDance 2007?

I am new to this forum and product so forgive me for asking neophyte questions. For over 18 years I have been using a now defunct product called Managing Your Money (MYM) produced by Andrew Tobias. Given that heritage you can imagine it is a very solid and classical double entry book keeping system with income, expense, asset and liability categories. Since it is so long in the tooth however it is not compatible with online banking. The fact that I have over 18 years of history has so far made manual entry a small price to pay. With the end of emulation support for older Mac OSs in the new Intel based Macs, I am now seriously looking for a replacement and wonder if this program can be it. I have looked at MS & Intuit and both are lacking compared to MYM. DOes anyone have a view on MoneyDance for tracking overall Net Worth with all categories of income, expense, asset and liability in double entry bookkeeping style, including tracking investments (stocks, bonds, mutuals and options)?
